Frequently asked questions - FAQ

What is AdBlue®?

AdBlue® is a highly purified liquid that is used in diesel engines with Euro 4 and newer standards in the process of eliminating harmful exhaust gases.

What is the composition of AdBlue®?

AdBlue® is an aqueous solution comprised of 32.5% high purity urea and 67.5% deionised water.

Is AdBlue® harmful to humans?

AdBlue® is harmless to humans, it is not flammable, but it is corrosive, which means it can damage metal surfaces and some types of plastic.

How to store AdBlue®?

It should be stored in a cold place with good ventilation, away from sunlight.

Can you drive if the AdBlue® runs out?

You can drive, but there is an option to limit the car's maximum RPM, maximum speed, power, etc. This depends on the manufacturer, model, age, and engine.

How do I know that AdBlue® is running low??

Based on the average consumption of AdBlue® liquid, the system estimates how many more kilometers you can travel with the existing amount in the tank and will notify you when it judges that it is time to top up.

What should you pay attention to when buying AdBlue® fluid?

Only use AdBlue® from official manufacturers licensed by the VDA (just like the Liber Blue Group) or their sales partners. The VDA license is obtained if the production is carried out according to the highest world standards and with the most modern technology.

Where can I buy AdBlue®?

AdBlue® fluid can be purchased from the manufacturer, authorized service providers, or through a network of distributors in various retail stores as well as at many gas stations.

Can AdBlue® freeze?

It can - its freezing point is -11°C or 12.2°F.

Does AdBlue® have a limited shelf life?

Yes - that's why you should always check the expiration date when buying. If you use expired AdBlue®, various unpleasant situations may occur, depending on the condition of the AdBlue®.

Why is AdBlue® necessary?

Numerous scientific studies have proven that SRC (Selective Catalytic Reduction) technology reduces fuel consumption by 5%. In combination with AdBlue®, the result is a minimized emission of harmful gases.

What is the consumption of AdBlue® liquid?

AdBlue® fluid consumption varies depending on the car, conditions, and driving style. The average consumption is from 1 to 3 liters per 1,000 kilometers.

What is the capacity of the AdBlue® tank?

The capacity of the tank depends on the model of your vehicle. One full tank of AdBlue® covers about 6 to 8 full tanks of fuel, or in other words, the tank can last between 3,700km and 10,999km.

Where is the AdBlue® tank located?
